Whether it be through social media, book clubs, or receiving a new book each month, Afterword has readers covered.
About the Project
This studio course was centered around brand design and how to successfully create cohesive branded systems that are engaging, delightful, and purposeful. After completing three more structured branding assignments, this final project allowed us to use our newfound knowledge, research, and experience to create an "entity" of our choosing, through a team effort.
Afterword Brand Booklet
The three components that comprise Afterword are its brand design, services, and interactions. Each is highlighted in the Brand Booklet below, along with friendly and welcoming visuals that embody the brand's key messages.

The Website
The Afterword Website works alongside the app to enhance the overall Afterword Experience for users and to give them multiple points of access to its services. On the website, users can find additional information on the BookMatch service and BookClubs (more information can be found in the Afterword Brand Booklet).
The App
As the primary social center of Afterword, its app provides users the opportunity to post about their recent reads, write book reviews for others to see, receive a customized feed about their interests, and more. To include its large number of features, multiple iterations of prototyping were required for its development.
Project Reflection
This has been one of my favorite team design projects to date. Our visual style for the brand booklet has a wealth of personality, which complements our casual and conversational brand. This project also highlighted the importance of displaying brand personality through language.
